Demand Planner
Job Description:
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner to forecast product demand accurately and support inventory, production, and supply chain planning. The role plays a critical part in balancing product availability, stock levels, and business growth while minimizing waste and shortages.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales inputs
- Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with promotions, launches, and seasonal plans
- Monitor forecast accuracy and continuously improve planning models
- Prepare demand plans at SKU, category, and channel levels
- Analyze sales performance, trends, and variances against forecasts
- Support inventory planning to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
- Participate in S&OP meetings and provide insights to support decision-making
- Maintain demand planning tools, data integrity, and reporting dashboards
- Identify risks and opportunities in demand fluctuations and propose mitigation plans
- Provide regular forecasts and performance reports to management
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, or related field
- 3–6 years of experience in demand planning or forecasting, preferably within FMCG or retail
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with demand planning tools or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDA, Anaplan, etc.)
- Solid understanding of S&OP processes and inventory management
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
