Key Account Executive
Job Description:
Job Purpose
The Key Accounts Executive supports the management and growth of strategic FMCG accounts by executing commercial plans, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring excellent day-to-day account operations. The role focuses on sales execution, promotions, reporting, and relationship management at an operational level.
Key Responsibilities
Account Support & Execution
- Support assigned key accounts in line with agreed commercial strategies
- Execute promotions, price changes, and product listings as per account plans
- Maintain regular contact with buyers, merchandisers, and store-level teams
- Follow up on orders, deliveries, and service-related issues
Sales & Operations
- Track sales performance (sell-in / sell-out) against targets
- Ensure product availability, correct pricing, and shelf visibility
- Coordinate with distributors and field teams to execute in-store activities
- Support new product launches and seasonal campaigns
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for key accounts
- Monitor stock levels, forecasts, and promotional performance
- Collect market intelligence and competitor insights
- Highlight risks and opportunities to the Key Account Manager
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with supply chain, finance, marketing, and operations teams
- Support account documentation including contracts, listings, and agreements
- Assist in preparing customer presentations and business reviews
Key Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in FMCG sales, key accounts, or trade marketing
- Exposure to modern trade, grocery chains, or large distributors
- Experience in food, beverage, or consumer goods categories is a plus
